Did you hear what Jack said?

Hi, Reader!

This summer, I was lucky enough to give a resume-writing workshop to some local students and some aspiring Aggies up at Texas A&M.

Now granted, most of them weren’t super-excited initially about spending part of their summer writing their resumes. I get it. I really do.

But there’s no time like the present to do those things that we need to.

So we got to work.

Two hours later, each of those students walked out of the workshop with an amazing start to their resume. And they were super-happy with what they’ve accomplished.

Here’s what Jack, a member of the Class of 2024, had to say:

“I was needing to write my college resume, and this course gave me a great start and thorough explanations, paving the way to complete my full resume. This gave me great pointers for each separate part of my resume!”

I love that he walked out of the workshop with not just a resume for his college applications — but also the skills he needs to keep that resume updated as he continues applying for internships and jobs.

I’ve taken that same workshop and converted it into an on-demand video course and printable companion guide (and I’ve actually added even more great information to support students in writing their resumes and translating that into their college applications).

And that means you can get access to my resume-writing strategies and create a powerful student resume on your schedule.

Ready to have a killer resume in your back pocket that will support your college and internship applications and help you get better letters of recommendation?

Then get your access to “ResuMEH to ResumYAY” and start crafting a resume that stands out, captures attention, and gets you a YES from your reader.

And for just a few more days, you can get it for the initial launch price of just $67. After 11:59 p.m. on March 20, it will go back to its normal price of $127.

A busy summer is just around the corner. Don’t wait until then to get started on your student resume. Remember: The early bird gets the worm. (And, in this case, also a $60 discount!)

Happy Resume Writing,

Julia

Hi, Reader! Today I want to do a little 3-2-1 game with you so we can get to know each other a little better. Ready? Let's go! 3 things going well in life right now: I'm getting ready to head down to Miami to pack up my daughter to bring her home for the summer. Thank goodness for CollegeBoxes. They pick up her moving boxes right from her dorm room and then deliver them to our front door. (Then they do the same thing in reverse in the fall.) Definitely simplifies moving — check them out to...

Hi, Reader! May (and summer vacation!) are just around the corner, and things are ramping up. Both of my kids are prepping for finals, and my essay students are gearing up for AP exams, followed quickly by their own finals. I know that doesn't leave a lot of time for college planning right now. And that's OK. But once you get a little breathing time, here are some things you can consider doing to get the most out of your summer. 9th-graders Build an awesome summer reading list: Start with...

Hi, Reader! It’s April 16, and do you know what that means? Either you were on the ball and filed your taxes yesterday and you’re breathing a sigh of relief today, or you’re like my household and didn’t quite get everything done like we’d hoped and had to file an extension. The years we have to file an extension in my household drive me crazy. We get the materials in January, and I try to get most of it uploaded. But then time gets away from us and BOOM. We’re up against a deadline and...
